George Scharmen is board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a founding member of the National College for DUI Defense. He is an author and lecturer on DWI and other types of criminal cases, and he has conducted numerous appeals setting precedents which assist in the defense of DWI.

Mr. Scharmen appears in trial courts throughout Texas and tries jury trials in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Waco, Georgetown, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Seguin, Kerrville, Bandera, Boerne, Corpus Christie, Brownsville, and other counties in Central and South Texas.
