Criminal defense attorney Chad E. Jones brings a unique perspective to his successful criminal defense practice. Chad grew up in College Station and received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Texas A&M University and his juris doctorate (J.D.) from the prestigious University of Houston Law Center in Houston.
His distinguished legal career includes tenures as both a prosecutor and Associate Municipal Court Judge for the City of College Station, prosecuting and presiding over hundreds of cases.
Having prosecuted, defended and presided over criminal cases from the bench, Chad Jones has a unique 360° view of the legal process that has made the difference between conviction and acquittal for many of his clients.
Chad's College Station roots combined with his broad legal experience have served him well as he has defended more than 1,000 cases since beginning his practice as a criminal defense lawyer ten years ago.
Although the Jones Law Firm, PC is experienced in defending a wide variety of criminal cases before state and federal courts in the Bryan / College Station jurisdiction, the majority have been for DUI, DWI, and other alcohol-related charges as well as assault and theft charges.
He is a tireless champion of equal justice and has an affinity for the local residents and students he defends as well as the jurors who decide the cases he argues.
A member of The State Bar College and Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Chad is licensed to practice in both Texas state and U.S. Federal Courts.
He is a strong believer in giving to the community and volunteers countless hours to College Station City Council committees and the Noon Lion’s Club.
He also believes in actively advancing the role of the legal profession through public service. To that end he is currently the President of the Brazos Valley Young Lawyers Association and formerly served as Director of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, which has been referred to as the “public service arm†of the Texas State Bar Association.
