Kimberly A. Butler earned her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Texas Women's University in 1998, and was employed by the Denton County Probation Department from 1997 to 2001 as a juvenile probation officer. Ms. Butler worked with children on intensive supervised probation and eventually managed the first offenders caseload for Denton County. In 2001 Butler decided to go to law school, and received her Juris Doctorate in 2003 fromTexas Wesleyan University School of Law. She was admitted to the Texas State Bar in May of 2004.

Kimberly opened her own law office and offered general legal services, primarily in the areas of family law, probate, and criminal and juvenile defense. She eventually limited her practice to criminal and juvenile defense, as well as defending parents in cases against Child Protective Services.

In 2009 Kimberly joined the law firm of Justice & White, and handles all matters of criminal defense, from limited class C misdemeanors to felony cases. Juvenile cases are her specialty, having worked with youth for many years as a probation officer, and before that, as a counselor in a youth-gang intervention program in Lubbock, Texas.

Kimberly is a member of the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She is on the board of directors for Praxy Ministries, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing healthy and thriving communities through charitable work. She currently lives in Fort Worth with her husband, Joseph.
